    Fine powder. Seems tasty

Our dog does enjoy his food, but I thought thus would be nice to add some flavour. It's a lovely fine powder. It can be sprinkled as a powder, I mixed with some warm water to create a gravy. It smells pleasant and the dog thoroughly enjoyed. Likely very good for fussy eaters. The bag is resealable and actually works ( many I find pop open). A bit pricey but if it gets a fussy eater to consume more with food or as a drink, you may consider it worth this. No digestive issues experienced.

    Good for my fussy dog

The Pat's Pet Kitchen Chicken Broth for Dogs Food Topper and Gravy Powder arrived in a sealed bag with a resealable closure.

The powder is fine, it can be sprinkled over the dogs food or mixed with water to make a gravy and given as a drink or mixed in dry food.

My dogs really enjoyed this as a topper one of them can be quite fussy over her food this was sprinkled over it and she went straight to her bowl and ate.

I like that it is made of 100% chicken, it has a pleasant smell that isn't overpowering, the feeding guide is printed on the back of the packet, it contains 180g and as my dogs are a small breed will last a good amount of time.

Tasty Broth that can be used as a topper or gravy!

I have used this over my large dogs dry food both as a dry topper and made it up as a gravy, my dog really loves to eat this! He especially likes it when I make it into a gravy, it’s does give off a strong odour when mixed with warm water but he loves it! I like that it’s made from natural ingredients and think it has a good boost of protein that supports his appetite and health, I find it’s easy to use as a sprinkle or made up as a gravy where I simply mix the recommended amount for my dogs size in with warm water for a filing and delicious meal! I think this will support him getting more collagen to help his bones and skin, he’s older and I like that he will benefit from this easy to give and make, good value for money protein boost!

    Excellent dog food additive

This is a fantastic addition to your dogs meal, either for fussy eaters or just as a general health additive. It's basically powdered chicken which is great for protein and collagen and therefore helps with your dogs overall health. I noticed my dog was shinier, glossier and had heightened energy after just two days of this.

The packaging is great ... it's a sturdy, thick plastic pouch which is resealable. The powder itself is very fine and like parmesan in both texture and smell. You can sprinkle over the food or make it into a gravy, whichever you prefer.

I also tried it on my mother's dog who is quite fussy when it comes to dinner time and she instantly started eating her food.

I would recommend this, it's a high quality and natural food additive

Pricey, but if your dog enjoys it - it’s worthwhile to add occasionally

At nearly £19, this isn’t something I would have bought without knowing whether my dogs would actually like it. That’s a lot to spend on a product that could potentially sit unused if they turned their noses up at it.

Having the opportunity to try it through Vine has completely changed my mind, though, and I would now happily become a paying customer. Two of my three dogs really enjoy it, particularly when it’s mixed with water to make a tasty gravy that I can add to their meals.

I was also really pleased to find that it’s suitable for my diabetic dog. His diet needs to remain consistent, so I have to be quite careful about anything I add to his food. This is so low in calories that I don’t need to factor the small amount of broth into his daily calorie allowance, which makes it much easier to use as an occasional treat.

The powder is easy to mix and adds a nice savoury flavour to their food, as well as providing some extra hydration when made into a broth or gravy.

My main criticism is the price. I wouldn’t use it every day at nearly £19 a bag, but as an occasional topper or special addition to their meals, it’s something my dogs clearly enjoy. It’s actually one of those products I wouldn’t have discovered without Vine, but having tried it, I’m now likely to buy it again.

Asked by owners

Anything else? Message us and we'll sort it.
What does it taste like? Plus

A rich, savoury chicken flavour. It's made from 100% chicken, so it tastes like the real thing, because it is.

How is this different from your Beef Bone Broth? Plus

Same idea, different protein. Chicken Broth is made from 100% chicken with 45% collagen; Beef Bone Broth is 100% beef with around 40% collagen. If your dog doesn't get on with beef, or simply prefers chicken, this is the one.

How is this different from Pure Collagen? Plus

Pure Collagen is flavourless, 100% hydrolysed collagen peptides at 6,000mg per serving: the dedicated daily collagen supplement. Chicken Broth is a flavour-first food topper that happens to be 45% collagen. Many owners use both: Pure Collagen for the dose, Chicken Broth for the appetite.

Is it a liquid? Plus

No. It's a fine powder, so no refrigeration and no short shelf life. It dissolves fully in warm water when you want a broth or gravy.

Can puppies have it? Plus

Yes, from 6 months. Follow the smallest serving size.

Does it work with raw, wet and dry food? Plus

All of them. Sprinkle straight on wet or raw food; for dry food, the gravy method works brilliantly.
